FAQ
Which agents does Kit support?
Kit detects dozens of coding agents on this computer, including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Grok Build, Cursor and VS Code. Agents you haven’t installed don’t appear; install one and come back to Kit.
Will Kit mess up my configuration? Can I undo it?
Kit changes only the entries it writes. “More → Disconnect from Origin” on an agent’s row puts back what it had before; “Remove Kit’s entry” on the MCP page deletes only Kit’s entry. Signing out revokes this device’s credential and disconnects every agent Kit connected.
How does pricing work?
Agents call Origin’s model gateway directly and are charged to your Origin balance at each model’s price; the balance is on Kit’s “Account” page and under Usage on the website. You can also add your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google keys under “Your own keys” on the “Account” page.
How do I update?
When a new version is out, an “Update” button appears at the top of Kit; you can also download the new build here any time and replace the app.
I only want the platform tools. Do I need Kit?
No. On the Origin MCP page choose your agent and add the URL in three steps.
